Penny's Bay Reclamation Stage 2 works commenced in April 2003 and is anticipated
to be completed in January 2009.
The scope of works for Penny's Bay Reclamation Stage 2 includes:
- Reclamation of approximately 60 hectares of land;
- Construction of about 1,470 metres of permanent sloping seawall;
- Construction of stormwater drainage system;
- Installation, operation and dismantling of Public Fill sorting facilities
at Tuen Mun Area 38 and Tseung Kwan O Area 137 to produce sorted Public Fill
material for reclamation works; and
- Implementation of environmental impact monitoring and mitigation measures.
